Thanksgiving gratitude on two levels

DR. ACE GOERIG

OWNER & CO-FOUNDER

Dear Colleague,

This Thanksgiving, my thoughts revolve around the theme of the gratitude for the harvest. We are all familiar with the image of a table that is laden with a Thanksgiving feast and surrounded by family.  With our loved ones, we share in the holiday meal together and appreciate our blessings both great and small.

As endodontists, we truly have very rich and charmed lives compared to most people. You don’t need to look very far in your own town or city to find others that struggle with the necessities of life, while we rarely worry about such basic things. If we struggle at all, it is to achieve the things we want, rather than the things we need.

Thanksgiving magnifies our abundance, but that is only half of the gratitude equation. If you think about a literal harvest, the abundance of Thanksgiving started long before sitting down at the table.

For a farmer, the harvest is the result of seeds planted in the spring and diligently managed from that moment on … protected, nurtured, and tended. So, gratitude isn’t just for the harvest feast itself; equally important, there is gratitude that the labor and effort was worthwhile and successful.

It is no different for endodontists. Each of us, individually and diligently, have tended the seeds planted in our endodontic residency. Through our own labor, we have nurtured professional success in our practices. The gratitude we have is more than just for our abundance, but also for the meaningful opportunities and rewarding practice of an amazing profession.

Still, the abundance of endodontics is not automatic or without challenges. None of us are born into endodontic success. It’s not something you can inherit. Furthermore, the nuts and bolts of a successful endodontic career and practice are barely taught in dental school. We come into the profession knowing vastly more about the inner workings of a tooth than we know about the inner workings of leading a dental team, productive scheduling, managing finances, or building effective referral relationships.

One of my favorite experiences is hearing from Endo Mastery coaching clients who have learned our practice systems, and they are now experiencing an unprecedented level of success. I love to see how their lives are transformed to new heights and how empowered they have become—truly realizing the incredible wealth and abundance that endodontics can provide.

It fills me with gratitude that doctors have chosen Endo Mastery to support their growth journey. Every success story reinforces that the work we do at Endo Mastery is worthwhile and important. Can there be anything more gratifying than the knowledge that what you do is making a difference?

On behalf of everyone at Endo Mastery, I would like to express our deepest appreciation and gratitude for the privilege of working with you. It’s not just the harvest, but the journey to get there.

Wishing you, your family, and your team a bountiful Thanksgiving!
